CATALINA is a good partner to have when exploring the icy forests of the Safari Zone. The CERULEDGE does well to keep him warm with its fire. And, like him, she is ever vigilant and serious about the task at hand.[break][break]

That might be a given, however, considering the spirit that resides within that armor belongs to his ancestor. Catalina Calcifet had resembled Remiel in many ways despite her upbringing in PALDEA. Someday, Remiel hoped to compile enough information about that life to write a book about it.[break][break]

Steam rises from the river that Catalina stands in as she goes fishing for food. Rather than a big juicy Magikarp, however, the Ceruledge soon fishes out a TATSUGIRI. It attacks her with a DRAGON PULSE at her feet.[break][break]

Immediately, the surprised Ceruledge casts the fish into the air before striking it down with a SHADOW CLAW. Remiel finds it unconscious afterward, floating atop the surface of the calm river. He produces a Luxury Ball to catch it.[break][break]

The COMBEE buzzes angrily around Remiel. It seems to think he is to blame for having its honey stolen. When it attacks with a BUG BITE, however, Catalina intercepts with a SHADOW CLAW.[break][break]

This attack swats down the Combee with great effect. It falls unconscious on the ground at Remiel's feet afterward. He sighs and produces a Luxury Ball before capturing it in a flash of golden light.[break][break]

The MAGIKARP flops helplessly at the edge of the lake. Remiel and Catalina nearly walk by it without doing anything, but then the prince stops and sighs. "Go help it return to its home, please."[break][break]

Catalina nods, then walks over to nudge the fish back into the water with the broad side of her blade. Feeling very proud of themselves, both the trainer and Pokémon walk away afterward. Within moments, however, the Magikarp jumps out of the water again and flops helplessly on the shore.[break][break]

The CHARMANDER spits a trail of flames at the Ceruledge as she approaches. But, edgy as ever, Catalina walks straight through them without hesitation. Desperate now to scare the knight away, the lizard casts a SLASH. It, too, harmlessly passes through her.[break][break]

With a single strike of a SHADOW CLAW, the Charmander is rendered unconscious. Remiel steps forward afterward with a Luxury Ball in hand. He taps the ball against the little lizard's head and captures it in a flash of golden light.[break][break]

The BRONZOR seems to be sleeping. Or entirely defunct. Honestly, Remiel can't tell. Despite being an archaeologist, this wasn't the sort of thing he was good with.[break][break]

Sure, Bronzor appeared during his excavations a lot. But did one expect a submariner to know the biology of WINGULL inside and out? If anything, these floating sentient relics were a reminder to him that humanity was a species with amnesia.[break][break]

The POLTCHAGEIST sprinkles the surrounding woodland with a beautiful LIFE DEW as it dances about. It seems intent on bringing about the bounty of spring as soon as it can. When it sees the intimidating Ceruledge approaching, however, it panics.[break][break]

A SHADOW CLAW cuts through a SHADOW BALL and strikes it shortly thereafter. The attack proves super-effective, and the possessed matcha pot falls unconscious as a result, WITHDRAWING within the safety of its vessel. This doesn't stop Remiel from pulling out a Luxury Ball and tapping it against the porcelain surface, however.[break][break]
